KAREN POLLARD - Artist from a remote settlement in the Kintore Range, N.T (530km W. Alice Springs)

Karen Pollard and her four brothers have been surrounded by some of the great names in Aboriginal art. Her mother is Nellie Marks Nakammarra and her grandfather is Turkey Tolson Tjupurrula. Other significant Aboriginal artists from her mother’s era includes Old Mick Namarari Tjapaltjarri and Uta Uta Tjangala.

Karen helps her mother paint and learns the culture stories so she may pass them on to the next generation.
